Zig Zag BBQ

We were walking across the street and we saw this cool, I like zig zag’s you know and I like BBQ and I was like what’s that smell? Then I walked in. And people had already placed orders. And I took a look at someone’s food and I said I WANT THAT. They were so right. The half rack of ribs I ate to the bone - I sucked all the meat off the bone! Cutting through the juicy 1/4 lb of brisket dipped in that mmhmm sauce made me happy. Medium size creamy queso Mac topped with a yummy chopped up chip garnish. Small and fresh and crunchy coleslaw. Don’t forget the slices of pickles! What a happy surprise. I love pickles. By the way Bob’s the man! Absolute must see the banana bathroom!

Apparently Zig Zag only does Beef Short Ribs on Saturdays. This is a problem for me, because I had one of theirs today for the first time, and now I need one every-single-day. There is no short rib like theirs from ANY BBQ joint in the tristate area. They had an oxtail & sweet potato special as well which I need to consume everyday. Creative and inventive sides, amazing beer and wine selection, Blue Velvet art on the wall, bananas in the bathroom, and a very fun staff to joke around with. I’ve tried them all in Philly and nothing beats Zig Zag. If you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out.

You can smell the place up the block as you approach. Great home made sauce and a slow cook method that makes it worth coming down for. Brisket was just the right balance of meat to fat for flavor. Question mac, you could have seconds and call that your meal.
