Great place. Super friendly staff. Delicious food. Pretty much sums it up. Perfectly cooked brisket, nice flavorful sausage. Bbq sauces were all well balanced. Sweet, spicy, mustard. None were overpowering, complemented the meats well. Charro bean were delicious. Nice change from bbq baked beans. I enjoyed the savory profile. Looking forward to coming back.

So I Went to Yellow Rose BBQ around 2 PM and it wasn’t packed, which I appreciated. First off, I want to say the front-of-house staff is super nice and welcoming. Everyone was friendly, patient, and made the experience feel warm from the start. The place itself was also very clean, which always matters to me. You can tell they take pride in keeping things tidy. Now… let’s talk about the space. This establishment is very small. With roughly 25 people inside, it felt cramped to the point of discomfort. There was barely room to walk through without bumping into someone. People were standing directly over me while I was eating, and the trash can was literally right next to my table. That part really took away from the experience. It’s hard to relax and enjoy your food when it feels like you’re eating in a hallway.I’m Texas born and raised, so BBQ runs through my veins. I don’t play when it comes to smoked meat. The brisket dry & was honestly just meh. Not terrible, but it didn’t blow me away or make me want to come back specifically for it. The ribs, on the other hand, were pretty good. Tender, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of my plate. I also tried the Rose Bud and really enjoyed it. One thing I noticed is the meat-to-sides ratio. It definitely needs to be tweaked. I felt like I got a little shorted on meat compared to the amount of sides. That said, the sides were really good. The corn cakes were amazing. I absolutely loved those little cornbread cakes. So flavorful and perfectly cooked. The green beans had bacon in them and they were delicious too. You can tell they season their sides well. Another issue is the sauce situation. With that many people in such a small space, there was only ONE sauce station for everyone. So yes… there was an actual line just to get sauce. In a tight space, that just added to the chaos. Overall, this place has great potential. The food has strong points, the staff is fantastic, and it’s very clean. They just need to fix some logistical things. More space, better flow, maybe additional sauce stations, and tweaking portion ratios would make a huge difference. I’d come back, but hopefully with a little less crowd and a few improvements. Solid BBQ spot that could be amazing with some adjustments. 🔥🥩

We came in on a quiet Tuesday afternoon, around 3 pm. I had found this place via Google maps and it piqued my interest as I am texas-raised and miss some good Texas style BBQ. This place is EXACTLY that. They call it "texican", and have a handful of dishes that are a perfect blend of bbq and Mexican cuisine. We went simple with our order, and took it to-go, as a trial run, and these guys really knocked the flavor out of the park. Their BBQ sauce they provided is an interesting flavor, like a blend of taco sauce and BBQ sauce, and went really well with their brisket. The Mac n cheese was a much more simple flavor, but balanced well with the boldness of the BBQ. I also had the potato salad, and dear lord I haven't had potato salad that good in a long time! The Rosebud that my partner had he said was a bit on the Spicer side for a jalapeno, but liked it. If you're looking for good, authentic, classic Texas style BBQ, THIS IS THE SPOT!! thank you guys!
