The Smokin’ Pig

Had seen a review for this restaurant and wanted to try it for a while now. Made the trip and was slightly disappointed in the BBQ variety on the menu. No ribs or typical bbq offerings. I did get a burger with a multitude of offerings on top starting with cheese sticks, Mac and cheese, onion rings, then burger, all drizzled with BBQ sauce served with fries. I ate down to the burger and was full, so leftovers yeah! Excellent BBQ sauce, but not much smoked flavor to the pulled pork. May visit again if in the area.

We stopped for lunch on 2/27. Assuming it would just be a gimmick restaurant, I didn't have the highest expectations. Let me say, I was totally wrong! Most importantly, the food was amazing. I'm going to be thinking about that catfish for a long time. It was delicious, with huge portions and totally reasonable prices. If you have kids, stop here, because there is a great playground for them. They'll probably also like the old west vibe.

We ordered the Brisket and Catfish meals. The fish was fresh and hot, the Brisket was very tender and tasty. All the sides were good also. We set at the bar and drinks were even better. I would definitely recommend the Smokin Pig.
