T Dawgs smoke bbq/catering

I hate to have to give a low rating to a local establishment. Unfortunately, our first visit will be the last. Ordered: 3 meat with 3 sides. Sliced brisket and sausage sandwich with 1 side. 2 can sodas. Total: $36.00 before tip. Brisket. The sandwich Brisket had two slices. One slice had all bark and under it was nothing but fat. No meat whatsoever. The second slice had partial bark and a big section of connective tissue. It was way too tough to eat. The little bit of meat I did get was stringy and tough. Hubby's brisket were tender he had 4 slices, which were a good size. Unfortunately, it had no flavor other than a potent smokey and pepper seasoning. It needed a lot of salt to help it a bit. Sausage. It has a nice tough snap when you bite into it. For me it made me gag. It has a low grade quality taste... almost like the heb brand Sausage which always makes me sick. The bun used for the sandwich was extremely soft but was of no use to hold the sandwich together. It was so wet with all the grease and fell apart and became mush. Sides: potato salad tasted like pickled juiced potatoes. Mexican Rice was not cooked properly some of it was mush and other parts were raw. Again no flavor or seasonings. Charro beans. Sadly, again flavorless. It just tasted like pinto beans in boiled water. Bbq sauce. Tasted watered down and store bought. Maybe we went on an off day, because of all the raving reviews. We would have given it another try but my husband ended up getting sick from it. It is a cute foodtruck. There are outdoor benches to utilize.

The Rice mushy little flavor ,Beans was the best side.Sausage lots of smoke better than the Brisket for sure.The Brisket looked moist but not consistent half was crumble dry lacked flavor on the bark just a bit of pepper and wood. There bbq sauce very thin tasted good just water in thickness,Smoke was the only thing that gave any taste .Would I try there food again NO. This wouldn't be good reheated I even tossed my 1st serving of Brisket it was so dry the pic is of my 2nd plate I picked from the leftover.

I just got my special today and it was amazing as always! I love buying their food everything is always so delicious and ribs fell right off the bone!! I would 100% recommend, food is the bomb, amazing customer service and prices are also affordable☺️
