Stacy's off Da Hook Soulfood & BBQ

I was curious about this place and finally got to drop by yesterday! I wanted to get the oxtail but didn't know it was Weekends only, so my partner and I got dinner combos with a peach cobbler. It took a while for our food to arrive but it was fine sitting inside of the restaurant waiting. I had the BBQ ribs with fried okra and mac n cheese. It was superbly done. The sauce was great with some heat, the ribs were done well and soft with great flavor, and the sides were amazing too! The peach cobbler was really great and I wish I ordered 2 since it was hard to share. Decadent with soft dough and baked peaches. My partner got the catfish dinner which was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Our food was hot and tasty, with great breading and frying. Highly recommend this place and looking forward to trying more of the different dishes. Make sure to tip them well!

The food was OFF THE HOOK! I ordered fish, greens, and yams cornbread tastes like cake and the Kool aid perfect! Super sweet just how I like it....it was too funny, my friend was asking the flavors of the Kool aid... We said red, blue, or purple.. he's not from Chicago he get a pass.. too funny 🤦🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️😂🫡🫶🏾🤤

My man and I visited this location for the 1st time. It was OK, not too bad. My Baby liked his food. He had the 2 meat plate with ribs and fish. I had the fish plate. The mac and cheese tasted like horrible powered milk flavored pasta. I asked the cook (who was a little on the not rude, but not nice side either) He just kept saying "that's how we make it, that's all we got. You want something else ?" So I went to ask what was in the macaroni, I Think He was anticipating "a complaint " from me, so he already had an attitude. I Genuinely was just asking because Sometimes people cook with different ingredients, Sometimes you've never tasted it before and the food may not be Nasty it may just be an ingredient you've never had before that throws your taste off. I was inquiring about that. He had a negative attitude. I didn't like that Especially when you Pre-Pay the tip in the order. I tipped 11 on 50. So a 20% tip Before I ever saw the presentation or tasted the product, With a nasty attitude is a Literal cocktail of "How to Ruin a Black Owned Business." We May try them again, probably not tho. PS. The greens and cornbread are 5STARS!
