Offset BBQ

Chicago is so lucky to have a restaurant as amazing as Offset BBQ! My cousin and I stopped in today for lunch and we ordered a half slab of St. Louis ribs, and the BBBLT Sammie. Both came with one side so we chose the mac n cheese and the waffle fries. We started with the sandwich and immediately we were both blown away. The bread was perfectly toasted, and all the ingredients came together perfectly. Every bite was perfection. We both rated it a 10 out of 10. The waffle fries also very good. Then we dug into the ribs. Great sauce and a smokey tender meat that fell off the bone. The cole slaw was good too and I’m usually not a big cole slaw person but I found myself taking a few more bites even though I was almost full. To wrap up our amazing lunch we got to try the banana pudding and it was also a can’t miss menu item. I will definitely be coming back and telling everyone to go check out offset bbq. The staff was super professional, nice, and attentive to our drinks being replenished. Couldn’t have asked for a better first experience.

Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend and will definitely be returning. We ordered the rib sandwich, and my partner was thrilled with the food. He said, “This is what ‘heck yeah’ tastes like.” The meat was perfectly smoked and packed with rich, wonderful flavor. The sauces? Incredible. I had the pulled chicken sandwich with a side of very cheesy cauliflower—and wow, it was so good. Moist, flavorful, and topped with pickles and an amazing coleslaw. This is a finger-licking kind of restaurant. 10/10.

Offset BBQ did not disappoint. The pork was tender and flavorful, the smoked brisket was juicy with a perfect smoke ring, and the sides like greens and coleslaw were fresh and well balanced. Service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere felt relaxed and authentic. Definitely one of the best spots for quality BBQ and ribs in Chicago — I’ll be back.
