If you’re looking for real barbecue in La Porte, Kickin’ Kajun Smokehouse is the spot. I had the beef rib plate and the flavor was exactly what good BBQ should be, deep smoke, great bark, and cooked right. This is real barbecue. This ain’t Kings Don’t pass on the deserts they are good! One thing I’d still love to see on the menu is smoked wings Overall, 5/5 stars. Great food, great flavor, and I’ll definitely be back.

We drive all over for good BBQ. We regularly make the trek to Lockhart for Black’s BBQ. I can honestly say Kickin’ Kajun Smokehouse Has stolen my palette. It is by far the best I’ve ever eaten! The smoked turkey leg and etoufffee was superb. The turkey melted like butter in my mouth. And the etouffee? Flavor spice heat! It had it all. The BBQ baked potato was insane! It fed my husband and me & we still had leftovers. You can eat in at Rainout, a nice little ice house with exceptional service and ice cold beer or get your food to go. (Either way, don’t forget to tip your server)
