Hy Rail BBQ

This place has been popping up regularly and finally decided to give it a try. It’s in the Family Dollar parking lot at the corner of the intersection. Super friendly gentleman greeted us at the window and took our order. He answered all the questions we had and couldn’t help but know he was genuine and the food was going to be good based on his smile. They didn’t have sides on their menu but he did say they had potato salad and beans as well as plain potato chips. We ordered a chopped beef and sliced beef sandwich, a side of potato salad, and his highly recommended beans. He did ask if we wanted pickles and onions on the sandwiches or on the side which I loved. He even nicely packaged with bbq sauces, utensils, pickles, onions, and napkins. Excellent chopped beef - great amount of beef and such a delicious smoked flavor. The sliced beef had the same great flavor, just felt it was slightly on the fattier side but still a great, thickly sliced beef sandwich. Potato salad was great, it’s a little on the sweeter side which my husband loved but I’m more on the savory side. Now….the beans. Whoooweeee! AMAZING. Pinto beans in a thicker juice, with a wonderful smoky flavor with little bit of meat. Man oh man! First bite I knew me and my husband were not going to be able to share them. Beans were 10/10!
