I ate here Friday March 6, at about 5 pm. Assembly hall wasn’t busy yet and as I was looking for food options, the smell of BBQ was nice so I thought I would try Honeyfire! I ordered a pulled pork barbecue sandwich with a side of green beans. The gentlemen that took the order and served the pork were attentive and they were expedient. I move over to the cashier who would tell me the total while she was looking elsewhere and never really had eye contact at all, which was very strange because there was nobody around. She seemed very dismissive. Seems like she would have rather been somewhere else when I was in front of her. Not nice, but OK so I sat down with my sandwich and my green beans. The meat in the sandwich was pretty good tasting, could have been warmer and the bun could’ve used some love. It was as if they just pulled it out of the package and threw it on the on the plate and it was a little cooler than room temperature and a bit firm on one edge. A little steaming, warmth, or maybe some preparation would’ve gone a long way on the overall sandwich. The green beans I could not finish. They had acquired a taste of something that didn’t taste like green beans. They were so overcooked that they were just like mush and I think what was supposed to maybe be bacon in them was unidentifiable. I was more than disappointed. A sandwich a side of green beans and a drink was around 20 bucks. I definitely expected better. I definitely will not repeat my experience there. It just was not satisfactory. When paying that kind of money for just a sandwich and a side and throwing some of it away not a good sense of my money. I will always seek good service, good food at a good price. I did not find it here.

I ordered the chopped brisket sandwich and Mac and cheese. The brisket sandwich was okay, just mid. The Mac and cheese was HORRIBLE. It was way too expensive for what you were getting which is a tasteless, room temperature, thing. When I first approached this establishment I had the illusion it would be tasty and worth the price however upon further review the reality was quite disappointing. Also the employees did not listen at all, and we asked for a quart of a size and they just kept us moving.

At the assembly Hall, is tasty BBQ. Great bourbon bakd beans, and Mac and cheese. Pulled pork and brisket were very tasty. The wait was not long, and the service was quick. Lots of seats in assembly hall.
