I read the reviews on this place and decided to give it a shot. I went today at the least busiest time to see if the food was good in the slowest time as in the busiest. I went at around 2:30, I walked in and there was a gentleman at the counter, greeted me as I walked in and walked me through the options since I told him it was my first time. I ordered my food, cafeteria style serving so if you aren't used to that it will throw you off, but at the time it all looked fresh. I got two plates, two sides, just to give it an actual shot. Greens, Cabbage, Two Meat Plate, Hot Bbq Sauce, and a cornbread. Second plate was the Okra, Broccoli Casserole, Beef Tips on Rice, Corn Bread. Peach Cobbler, and Pecan Pie. Plate #1. Greens were nice, smokey, tender exactly what you want and expect from Greens, they were well seasoned The Cabbage was my favorite side, seasoned through and through, melted in your mouth but still had a slight crunch. Ribs and brisket was great, ribs were tender and I could cut it with a fork, the brisket was thinly sliced and I used it to eat the greens. Best combo Plate #2 Okra was good, tasted like the okra was fresh cut and not canned or frozen, perfect. Broccoli was the second favorite it was cheesy, had some bite to it which I like. The sides were well seasoned. The Beef Tips in my opinion were seasoned, In my mind I added a bit more salt personally, just a touch. Desserts and bread The Peach Cobbler was nice, warm, maybe a little bit heavy on the cinnamon but I didnt mind that, others might. The Pecan Pie, amazing, delicate, and you can taste it all freshly baked. The corn bread was used to mop up the BBQ Sauce and it was delicious. All in all, food was a whole lot in the box first the price, I ate the greens and cabbage and like one rib and some brisket. I was full off of half of one plate. I understand some people are harsh and some food reviewers said some stuff, but i have been a Chef for 15 years, and have been well traveled from city to city, state to state and this place is good. Try it yourself and enjoy. Soul Food was there, BBQ was good.

Placed order for 1 Dozen East Texas hot links pluse a two meat meal with 2 sides. To be delivered. When delivery person handed me the bag I told her to take it back because what I ordered and paid for is not in the bag. She immediately stated she would go back with the bag and return with correct items.. I called uHardemans and was told they did not have Eeast Texas Hot Links. Why not contact me to see if I'd like something else to replace instead of just sending what you want. However I never heard from delivery driver (doordash) nor store again. They charged my bank $53.

Used location for catering (purchased own meat) was severely shorten on brisket quantity (3 large briskets) received only 3/4 pan of brisket..super dried out and over cooked(old) and leg quarters (10 bags) only two pans were able to be served to guest. Once h got to the third pan had to stop serving due to very old slimy residue on chicken. This is unacceptable prior to discovering the bottom 5 pans that were unserved I called spoke to Sarah (owner) whom immediately stated the food was cooked a few days before and reheated same day and that she didn’t have to steal any meat they had their own. I then responded that never mentioned shortage but do not agree with the amount received versus the meat supplied, but questioned if the meat was old or severely overcooked. She said she watched the cook it and it was refrigerated then recooked the same day. Family this was by far the worst catering experience I’ve ever encountered. This is what hurts others for supporting our “Black Owned Businesses”
