I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday with my children, expecting an enjoyable family dining experience. Unfortunately, the quality of the food and overall service fell well below expectations. From the beginning, the meal was underwhelming. The hot wings were overcooked and tasted as though they had been reheated. The chicken tenders and fries were hard and lacked freshness. For my daughters’ entrées, one ordered the grilled salmon and the other a cheeseburger—both were noticeably dry and unappetizing. Additionally, all three bowls of macaroni and cheese served with our meal were cold and stale. I requested to speak with a manager to address these concerns, but after waiting an extended period without any response, we ultimately paid the bill and left. While the experience itself was extremely disappointing, I still tipped our server, Miss Shanazia, as she was professional and courteous throughout our visit and clearly not responsible for the kitchen issues. It was incredibly disheartening to have a birthday celebration ruined by such poor food quality and the lack of timely management attention. The experience was so unsatisfactory that we had to stop at a McDonald’s drive-thru on the way home to ensure my children had something enjoyable to eat. Yesterday was my first time going there, and most likely my last time. It’s not like the BBQ’s on Flatbush. This one was very quiet, and I did feel uninvited. And to top it off, the manager kept walking past my table while staring. A very uncomfortable feeling he gave me. I think that my review of this location was a little rough. My food was yummy. The place was clean. My waiter was friendly. And I think the location of the restaurant may prevent it from being lively. Overall, it is a good place to check out.
