Avenue BBQ Hut

The staff was nice. The location was clean. The presentation of the food was the good. The best part of the meal was the jerk chicken. It was cleaned and jerk well and the jerk for neutral to make the favors of the jerk take over. The fried rice, I was not a fan off. There was a taste in it that couldn't figure out what was throwing me off. The jerk mac & cheese was cold and I had just left the location. After fixing that, it had a melt taste but the cream in this pie was somewhat bland and runny. I am 50/50 with visiting again because the jerk was at my expectation. The feeling in my stomach is not great with minor burning. I did not use any sauce so I can align the natural recipes used. You will have to be your own judge with visiting. I encourage others to visit. You might just like the fried rice better than me.

You can order ahead and pick it up. There is nowhere to sit down and eat. We took our food down the street to McDonald’s; ordered some drinks there and ate our food upstairs.

* Big portions * BBQ chicken is good, but beyond that, we all tried several sides (mac pie, mashed potatoes, fried rice, lo mein) and found none of them to be good * Overall, I wouldn’t seek this place out again as I feel it’s not worth the price for the quality of food
